For either a PC or a Mac computer, you will need a cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection. If you connect to AUDIO using VoIP (Voice Over Internet, which is the preferred mode), you will need a fast Internet connection: 384 kbps or more is recommended.

For the best audio quality, an external USB headset (with its attached microphone) is highly recommended. You simply connect this headset to your computer. Many laptop computers with built-in speakers and a microphone generate background noise (since the speakers are situated too close to the mic). Analog headsets are satisfactory, but not ideal. But if you don't want to purchase a USB headset, you also have the option of using your home telephone line. After you enroll, we will provide you with a phone number for audio access to our online course (while you use your computer for the video portion of the class).
